YASIN UYSALLAR

The artist, who selects materials according to the form structure they wish to create, combines different body parts in their works to create new humans, while drawing inspiration from the human depictions of the era they live in. The figures in Uysallar's sculptures establish a connection between the past and the future, reality and illusion, presenting colors and compositions from another world through the material’s own effect. Using industrial materials such as silicone, plaster, concrete, bronze, aluminum, brass, polymer clay, modeling clay, polyurethane, epoxy, resin, polyester, acrylic, plastic, and pigment, Uysallar blends both abstract and realistic elements in their sculptures, expressing their inner and outer worlds. The artist completed their undergraduate education in the Sculpture Department at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts and is continuing their master’s degree at the same university. The artist lives and works in İzmir.
